The Nassau Bay Homes Association monthly meeting of the trustees will be at 6:00 pm Thursday, March 24th at 1322 Space Park Drive in the cafeteria conference room.

In an effort to raise awareness, solicit feedback, and plan for the successful future of maintaining the marina, there will be an item on the agenda for discussion of the rates, condition, repair, and possibly raising marina rates. Please come and join the discussion.

As a reminder, unpaid annual assessments were due 2/1/22, and are collecting a 6% late fee each month. Please contact the office for assistance with your billing.

The life guarded pool season will begin Memorial Day weekend please look for hours and updates on our channels. The NBHA February Monthly meeting refreshments theme was a benefit, not only because of Valentine’s Day, but because Coleen Madden Ethridge of Nassau Bay Realty-CAMM Group, Inc. and Susanne Mullen-Spencer of Keller Williams Realty Clear Lake/NASA spread the love all over the refreshment table with a delicious assortment of chocolates, truffles, and macarons.

 The Nassau Bay Homes Association thanks our meeting sponsors, and believes in supporting the city of Nassau Bay local businesses.

We had many new faces at the meeting. The NBHA welcomes all of its members, but a special thank you goes out to those who serve, or served, in our military.

The HOA had a full room ready for business, but ready to enjoy the community sharing, as well.

A reminder regarding the upcoming elections for the board of trustees

As required in the by-laws of the Nassau Bay Homes Association, Inc. (NBHA), the annual election for it’s Board of Trustees will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 7am-7pm, and early voting on Monday, May 2nd – Thursday, May 5th  from 9am to 4 pm at the NBHA office located at 1322 Space Park Drive, Suite C119.

Any member who desires to become a candidate for election to a Trustee position may file an application with the association between  March 10,2022 and 4pm on April 7, 2022. 

Two seats are open for election this year, each with a term of two years. The candidate receiving the highest number of votes, and the second highest number of votes shall be elected.

Any property owner who pays into the Nassau Bay Owners Association Inc. Lot Assessment Fund, may vote with a maximum of two votes per home. Spouses not currently named as a homeowner with Harris County Appraisal District (HCAD) will need to bring a copy of their marriage certificate.

The NBHA’s New Year 2022 first meeting of the year was an example of the dedication and comradery it exudes. The January meeting  was receiving a little push back due to a spike in the latest Covid variant, as well as various work schedules, family priorities, and extreme weather. But, we are determined to conduct business to keep our community moving forward.  We want to continue to grow and the only way is to keep working. 

Despite all adversity, we had attendance with a smile and a heart for progress. We’re sending out “we sincerely missed you” to all those not able to be with us.

Other than our monthly meetings, our various committees are continuously working behind the scenes with regularly scheduled meetings of their own. In fact, our monthly meetings are centered around the progress of each committee. The Architectural  Control Committee is one of our most engaging groups due to the steady flow of architectural applications being submitted.

Over the next several months, you’ll get to see the progress that the other hardworking and dedicated committees have been volunteering their time towards. Stay tuned.
